There was a huge backlash to the ‘advice’ from Rachel Maclean, a safeguarding minister in the Home Office, when she suggested people who were struggling with the cost of living should “protect themselves better, whether that is by taking on more hours or moving to a better-paid job.”
If only we knew it was that easy!
This is just the latest in a growing number of deeply offensive ‘suggestions’ from out of touch Tory MPs who have no idea how ordinary people live.
